Defined weight-management telehealth care

# Independent Wellness review

Independent Wellness is worth comparing for a specific weight-management need when continuity with one clinician would add useful care. It is not a comprehensive healthy-aging membership. The detailed $199 and $299 ongoing GLP-1 prices are more useful than the opening offers, but lab scope, pharmacy assignment and the payment agreement still need to be settled.

## A useful next step?

Consider the purpose, the care relationship and the full commitment.

## A reason to consider it

Someone who can identify the added value of continuing weight-care visits.

- The service identifies the clinician responsible for ongoing visits.

- Continuing prices are stated separately from first-month offers.

- Weight-care visits and medication delivery are presented without a separate membership fee.

## What deserves scrutiny

A buyer treating a weight-care package as comprehensive longevity care.

- Lab scope is qualified by the selected program.

- Several headline statements conflict with the detailed offer.

- A future treatment inquiry is not a defined, priced care package.

## Buy a defined care relationship

Independent Wellness centers its weight service on continuing access to Bonnie Lea Davis, FNP-C. The provider page includes lifestyle and nutrition support, medication and supplies, and unlimited provider visits. For someone who needs that follow-up, knowing who will handle the next review is a useful distinction. [\[2\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-2)

A focused weight-management service is not automatically comprehensive preventive care. Identify the concern, the clinician’s role and how this service would fit existing care before paying for another program. Continuity has value when it supplies an assessment or follow-up the buyer actually needs. ## Compare the full continuing amount

The detailed price table gives a $99 first month for compounded semaglutide followed by $199 monthly. Compounded tirzepatide is $199 initially, then $299 per month. Delivery and provider visits are stated inclusions without a separate membership fee. Those ongoing figures belong in a comparison of the service. [\[1\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-1)

The homepage’s $179 tirzepatide callout and no-introductory-increase language conflict with that table. The sensible interpretation for budgeting is the explicitly labeled first-month versus continuing offer, followed by confirmation of the selected agreement. I would not assume the smaller headline applies indefinitely or to every formulation and supplied quantity. Separate ongoing and introductory charges in [the care-cost planner](https://healthspannerds.com/tools/cost-planner/).

## Included labs need a boundary

The provider page presents Quest Diagnostics lab work as a program inclusion; the FAQ narrows that to labs that may be included depending on the plan. The cost decision needs a specific test list and any separate collection or repeat-testing charges. It does not support treating all future testing as included. [\[2\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-2) [\[3\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-3)

Separate the purpose of testing from the number of results. A clinical test can support a defined treatment decision without becoming a general healthspan score. If existing care already supplies the required assessment, find out what this program adds before paying for overlapping testing. ## The contact schedule has practical limits

The pricing page requires monthly visits, beginning with video. Months two and three may be asynchronous refill reviews, with a video visit every three months. The FAQ describes messaging between visits and says refills require the provider’s continued approval through the pharmacy process. This is structured follow-up, not unconditional access to medicine. [\[1\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-1) [\[3\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-3)

The stated twenty-state list also deserves an individual check: an older paragraph on the same provider page still says eighteen. Current location and the service requested determine whether an arrangement is available. A partner pharmacy shipping more widely does not establish wider clinical coverage. [\[2\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-2) [\[4\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-4)

Consider continuity and transitions alongside [the evidence after GLP-1 treatment stops](https://healthspannerds.com/research/weight-regain-after-glp1/).

## The pharmacy list does not define the finished prescription

DCA Pharmacy, Link Pharmacy and Vidrine Pharmaceutical Group/Boudreaux’s New Drug Store appear on the partner page. The assigned dispenser, preparation, supplied quantity and usable life still need to be identified for the actual plan. The existence of partners does not answer every product-specific question. [\[4\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-4)

The priced GLP-1 plans are compounded. FDA explains that compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed for safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing. Clinical evaluation and a named pharmacy do not change that distinction or establish that a compounded product has the same evidence as an approved finished drug. [\[1\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-1) [\[5\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-5)

## An optional menu is not a healthy-aging package

The home and pricing pages invite inquiries about NAD, glutathione and sermorelin, with availability and price depending on a personalized plan. They do not establish a defined preparation, supplied amount and complete price for those options. The weight-care package should not be used as their cost or as proof of their clinical value. [\[1\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-1) [\[6\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-6)

Likewise, a microdosing label does not establish a preventive benefit or an individual treatment plan. Choose care around a specific medical need and a clinician’s assessment, rather than assembling a menu of products because they appear together on one website. [\[7\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-7)

## The financial exit deserves a clear answer

The FAQ says payment is not required before provider approval. It does not turn later payments into a risk-free trial. The service and pricing pages reviewed do not give a definite cancellation cutoff, refund schedule or automatic-payment authorization for an individual plan. [\[3\]](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-3)

Get those terms before paying, especially how a refill in preparation is handled. Hims is a relevant comparison for a different model with care and medicine charged separately. Choose the arrangement that adds useful follow-up at a workable continuing cost, with the prescription and financial obligations clearly identified. Compare the separate care-fee model in [our Hims review](https://healthspannerds.com/reviews/hims/).

## Understanding the cost

Pricing page: compounded semaglutide $99 first month then $199/month; compounded tirzepatide $199 first month then $299/month. Includes stated medication delivery and unlimited provider visits, without a separate membership fee. Homepage also has conflicting $179 tirzepatide and no-introductory-increase wording; obtain the selected ongoing price, supply, labs and payment/cancellation terms in writing. Lab inclusion depends on the plan.
