A broad platform is not a complete care plan
Hims markets several services, including weight care and testosterone treatment. Each needs its own clinical purpose and financial comparison. I would choose the platform when the documented follow-up fills a real gap, rather than assume several available prescriptions amount to comprehensive preventive care. [1] [5]
The terms define the memberships as limited care for the relevant condition, not primary care or insurance. Independent clinicians make treatment decisions, while pharmacies dispense. A membership payment or attractive medicine card is not a guarantee of a prescription, access in every state or a particular clinical result. [3] [4]
Keep the intended health outcome specific with the evidence on weight loss and function.

Weight care has a fee before the medicine bill
Hims’ weight membership begins at $39 and renews at $149 monthly. Current medication-only cards include a Wegovy pill from $149, a pen from $199 and Zepbound vial or KwikPen from $299. The selected medicine and care fee must be added on the same supplied period and payment assumptions. [1]
At an unchanged $299 starting medicine price, continuing care plus medication would illustrate $448 per month. That is not an all-dose or personal quote, and prepaid medication can create a different upfront commitment. Compare the actual prescribed product and pharmacy channel rather than one generic drug price. [1] [4]

Testosterone care is a separate membership
The testosterone page’s expanded fee answer states a $49 membership fee at checkout, with medication extra. Its medicine cards start compounded testosterone cypionate at $79 per month, generic injectable cypionate at $159 and Kyzatrex at $179. Testosterone Rx+ is another product with a different ingredient combination and a $49 starting card. These prices should not be collapsed into one treatment total or extended to every selected plan. [5]
The contract allows monthly or annual testosterone membership renewals; the actual ongoing fee and cadence still need to be stated in the selected agreement. It includes clinical review, provider messaging, two qualifying testosterone tests per year and provider-determined additional testing. That describes a defined monitoring service, not unlimited testing for every health concern. [4]

Clinical assessment matters more than a performance headline
The testosterone terms restrict treatment to a legitimate therapeutic purpose decided by the provider and expressly exclude prescribing for bodybuilding, athletic enhancement or other non-therapeutic uses. The presence of treatment cards is not a reason to use medicine for an age, fitness or healthy-aging target. [4]
The product page separates commercial and compounded preparations and says labs and a prescription are required. Its route, timing and fertility comparisons should not be turned into an individual prediction or a self-directed regimen. I would evaluate the proposed assessment and follow-up without borrowing a guaranteed outcome from a marketing headline. [5]
Clinical contact has a defined scope
Weight care describes monthly clinical check-ins and ongoing provider messaging. The FAQ says responses vary and visit requirements depend on the state. Around-the-clock access to a channel does not establish immediate clinical attention. The appropriate comparison is the review and contact the buyer actually needs. [2] [3] [4]
Testosterone care has its own required reviews and lab steps. The terms say failing to complete needed testing or other recommended steps can delay or stop treatment. A continuing subscription is not a substitute for those assessments, and neither membership becomes comprehensive primary care simply because both appear in the same app. [4]
The supplied medicine can extend the care commitment
For both weight and testosterone plans, canceling medication alone leaves the corresponding care membership active. Membership cancellation also cancels its medicine plan, but prepaid multi-month medication already shipped defers membership’s effective end until that active supply period ends. Care fees remain due through that term. [4]
These sections calculate the cancellation cutoff from the originally scheduled billing date: at least two days before that date, even where a charge or shipment happens early. Routine dose changes do not automatically end the medicine subscription. Keep the actual prescription, renewal and effective cancellation dates together rather than assume a care message changes them all. [4]

Refunds and pharmacy channels need their own terms
The first month’s membership fee is non-refundable under the relevant sections. Initial platform medication refunds require cancellation within forty-eight hours of submitting payment information and before shipment; renewal medication refunds require cancellation at least two days before the next billing date. Shipped medicine is excluded and other partially used-period refunds are discretionary. [4]
Certain weight-care manufacturer self-pay routes use Gifthealth, with separate medication billing, cancellation and refund handling. An active Hims membership and required monthly check-ins remain distinct obligations. Other outside-pharmacy medicine is also paid for separately. I would compare the agreement that actually supplies the prescription rather than transfer a refund promise between parties. [4]
Future products are not current membership benefits
Hims’ Peptides+ announcement names NAD+ and sermorelin among proposed products but says coming soon with an RSVP. It does not establish a current priced supply or an active treatment offer. An announced catalogue does not add those products or their proposed benefits to either weight or testosterone membership. [6]
Choose Hims for a specific care relationship that adds useful review at an acceptable full cost. If existing care already meets that need, identify the added service before paying again. Breadth and convenience can make a platform easier to compare, but the decision should still be about the care being purchased today.

Understanding the cost
Weight care: $39 first month, then $149/month, medicine extra. Testosterone FAQ states a $49 membership fee at checkout; selected cadence and medicine charges must be confirmed. Testosterone medicine-only cards start at $79 compounded injection, $159 generic injection or $179 Kyzatrex; the $49 Rx+ card is another distinct product. These are separate services and starting offers, not one combined-care quote. [1] [4] [5]
